AKSHAR WINS THE GOLD in MATHS CHALLENGERS at INFINITY 2022- AN ONLINE MATHS COMPETITION

Akshar had the opportunity to participate in the Infinity Mathematics Competition 2022, held by the Aditya Birla World Academy. Infinity is the ultimate Mathematics Championship organised annually by Aditya Birla World Academy, in association with the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. With every passing year, the popularity of this enigmatic competition has been growing among students. Since its inaugural edition in 2014, Infinity has attracted top-notch brains from India and overseas. The competition is designed and open for students studying in Grade 9, 10, 11 or 12. High school students from schools across India have participated year after year in this exciting and enriching experience since 2014! The participation included schools from all over India - some of them were Welham Girls School and La Martinirere for Boys, including the host - Aditya Birla World Academy.

The competition was held over three days, starting from the 8th of January, continuing from the 21st and finishing on the 22nd. All three days of the event was held online.

Sucharita Pradhan the teacher coordinator from Akshar writes, “It was a proud moment for Akshar, when our Senior Team (Class X) won the Gold for the Team Event - Math Challengers at Infinity 2022, an online Maths Competition, in which over 300 schools from India and other countries like Dubai, Qatar, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Singapore took part. Two of our students received merit certificates too. This was the second time that we took part in this prestigious online event organised by ABWA (Aditya Birla World Academy) Mumbai. Our students had worked hard practising and solving unusual questions requiring high order thinking skills, and their regular online practice sessions bore fruit. We hope to continue training our students so that they keep taking part in more such Mathematics competitions in the coming academic year.”

Akshar is very happy to have brought back gold for the team challenger round (senior) as well as a silver to Amitayush Ghosh and a bronze to Aryan Amin in the individual round ‘Clash of Mathematicians’!
